I find it easy to make an appointment or get support from the doctors. My child needed a blood draw at the last visit, and he was terrified, but the staff was amazing and put him at ease. We appreciate you!

Eve C.Parent

Our family has been a part of this practice for almost 14 years, and we could not be happier! All of the doctors, nurses, and staff have always gone above and beyond. If you are looking for a practice that truly cares about your kids, kindness and compassion live here ... we are so grateful. Great hours and multiple locations are a bonus!

Jackie G.Parent

Had my daughter's first appointment here today, and they are great! They handled a billing issue with no problem, the staff was super nice, and the doctor listened and addressed all of our concerns. She also gave us some great resources to help with some of those concerns.

  • Dress them in lightweight clothing.
  • Encourage them to stay hydrated with water or electrolyte solutions.
  • Ensure they avoid overexertion.
  • Do not use aspirin, as it can lead to serious side effects.
  • Avoid sponging with cool water, which may increase shivering and body temperature.
  • Never apply rubbing alcohol, as it can be absorbed or inhaled, leading to severe conditions.
  • Over-the-counter medications can alleviate headaches and discomfort.
  • Acetaminophen comes in liquid, chewable tablets, and suppositories.
  • Ibuprofen is available in liquid for infants and children and chewable tablets. Be aware of different concentrations for infants and older children.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if we need a doctor after hours or at night?

If your child is having a true emergency, please call 9-1-1 immediately. For less urgent needs, a PedsNY pediatrician or pediatric nurse practitioner is available 24 hours a day by calling our main number. We also offer weekend and holiday visits by appointment.

We're expecting our first child. Can we come meet your doctors?

Yes! We can schedule a tour, and you can visit with an available provider. Just contact our office for a new patient consultation. This is an exciting time for your family, and we are here to help you feel comfortable and informed. Congratulations!

Is there anything special about your adolescent appointments? How are they different than pediatric visits?

At PedsNY, we’re proud to support children ages 13 and up with all the changes and challenges that come along with becoming a teen. Above all, we respect their privacy and ask you as parents to respect their confidentiality.

Adolescents sometimes need to discuss confidential matters with us. Therefore, the adolescent appointment allows the physician to spend private time with the patient to go over his/her specific questions and concerns.

While we will of course notify parents if their child is a danger to himself or others, we will otherwise respect our older patients’ needs to keep some matters just between themselves and their doctor.
